RingSquared Sponsors Golf Scramble Celebrating the Legacy of Ben Cushing

Employee Donation: Cush It To the Limit

Held at Snoqualmie Falls Golf Course on September 15th, RingSquared was a proud sponsor of the 2022 golf scramble for Cush It To the Limit. This annual fundraiser supports research into rare blood cancers in memory of Ben Cushing.

Shawn Kearney, VP Government & Enterprise Sales at RingSquared, nominated Cush It To the Limit for a RingSquared employee-driven donation this year; Shawn has known the Cushing family for decades and personally gives his time and money to the organization. Shawn and his team, made up of long-time friends who have known the Cushing family since grade school, took fourth place in the tournament.

This year’s event featured a costume competition in addition to longest drive, straightest drive, closest to the pin, and marshmallow putt contests. Together, golfers and sponsors raised $55k for rare blood cancer research.

About Cush It To the Limit
Cush It to the Limit is a non-profit organization dedicated to accelerating treatment options for, and ultimately finding a cure for, rare T-Cell Lymphomas (TCLs) and other blood cancers. Founded in 2017 by Ben “Big Cat” Cushing after he was diagnosed with Hepatosplenic T-Cell Lymphoma in 2017, Cush It to the Limit has raised over a quarter of a million dollars for cancer research in honor of Ben.

Cush It To the Limit partners with Dr. Andrei Shustov, a leading authority on TCL, to support his research. In addition to his work at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, Dr. Shustov also teaches at UW Medicine, cares for patients at Seattle Cancer Care Alliance, and serves as president of the T-Cell Leukemia Lymphoma Foundation board.
