At RingSquared, we believe in the power of giving, the strength of unity, and the potential in every individual to bring about change. As part of our employee-driven giving program, we encourage our team members to nominate organizations they value and that make a positive impact on society. We recently turned our focus towards InnerCity Weightlifting (ICW) in Boston, MA, an organization dedicated to breaking the cycle of violence and mass incarceration, for last month’s May employee giving donation.
InnerCity Weightlifting: Fit for a Cause
InnerCity Weightlifting is more than just a gym or a fitness program; it’s a lifeline for those most impacted by systemic inequality. ICW works with individuals who have been affected by gang violence and mass incarceration, offering them the opportunity to change their life trajectories. By providing professional training and opportunities in the fitness industry, ICW allows these individuals to build a career, gain a sense of self-worth, and create a positive impact on their communities.
In the face of adversity, ICW stands as a beacon of hope, inspiring change one lift at a time. It is an organization that not only helps individuals regain control of their lives but also strives to create a society where everyone, regardless of their past, has an opportunity to succeed.
We are honored to be a part of their journey towards creating a safer, more inclusive society. This contribution will help ICW continue to provide vital services and opportunities to those who need them most. And as a bonus for the month of May, all donations to ICW were matched to double the impact of every supporter.
RingSquared Employee Nomination
Chris Kasdorf, our Sales Manager, nominated InnerCity Weightlifting for a RingSquared employee donation. Chris’ passion for the cause and his conviction about the difference ICW makes in the community was truly inspirational. He shared with us the organization’s mission – to reduce youth violence by connecting the young people at the highest risk with new networks and opportunities, including meaningful career tracks in and beyond personal fitness.
As we move forward, we are more committed than ever to our mission of giving back. Each month, we will continue to highlight and support organizations that our employees are passionate about to support the power of our communities.
