RingSquared supports the passions of our employees, and recently donated to the Revels Family Foundation Scholarship Fund to help support the future academic careers of students in the Revels family.
The Revels Family Foundation, created in 1989, honors the legacy of Hiram Rhodes Revels. Born in Fayetteville, North Carolina in 1827, Revels before he became the first African American to serve in Congress as a Mississippi Senator from 1870 to 1871. Revels and his wife, Phoebe A. Bass, had six daughters and generations of the family still gather together today to honor their family history.
The Revels Family Foundation scholarship was nominated for an Employee-Driven Donation by Garland Butler, RingSquared Tier 2 Support Engineer. Butler is a descendent of Hiram Rhodes Revels, and RingSquared is proud to help support his family legacy.
