Account codes are added to lines to manage expenses for long distance and international calling, as well as helping your company reduce possible PBX fraud. An account code is made up of 3-6 digits, that can be used for tracking calls made by a department, or specific user.

You may add account codes for the following:

  • All Outbound calls: Local, Domestic long distance, International, and Toll
  • All Domestic Long Distance and International
  • All International

When an outbound call is made, depending on which of the above you may have it set for, you will be forced to enter your code with a specific dialing sequence:

  1. User will dial outbound number
  2. User will then hear a tone, during this tone, they would input the code they have been assigned
  3. Call will then continue to complete to destination
  4. If Account code is entered wrong, the user will have another attempt. If they attempt multiple times and call will not go through, this will block out all codes from being used. You would then need to reach out to the support team to unblock the Account code feature.

If you have any additional questions, please contact the RingSquared support team or call 800-427-Ring.
