Account codes are added to lines to manage expenses for long distance and international calling, as well as helping your company reduce possible PBX fraud. Account codes can also help tracking calls made by a department, or a specific user within your RingSquared UCaaS system. Codes are three to six numeric digits.

If you do not know your account code, you should contact your company’s administrator. If you are a residence and have forgotten your account code, please contact RingSquared for assistance.

Using Account Codes

You may add account codes to your RingSquared UCaaS for the following types of calls:

  • All Outbound Calls: Local, domestic long distance, international, and toll
  • All Domestic Long Distance and International Calls
  • All International Calls

When an outbound call is made, depending on which of the above you may have it set for, you will be forced to enter your code with a specific dialing sequence:

Step 1. User will dial the outbound number they wish to call.
Step 2. User will then hear a tone; during this tone, they will input the account code they have been assigned
Step 3. The call will then continue to complete to destination.
Step 4. If an account code is entered wrong, the user will have another attempt. If they attempt multiple times and call will not go through, this will block out all codes from being used. You would then need to reach out to the support team to unblock the account code feature.
